video
As a full-time Video Producer, every day is an opportunity to showcase my skills and expand my knowledge— it’s also really fun! I have my hands in many, if not all, the pots; I produce, direct, film, run audio, edit, mix, and share everything I create myself. It wouldn’t be that dramatic to say that I eat, sleep, and breathe video. :)

Come along as we follow a resilient skater through his neighborhood at sunset, while he attempts to nail the perfect kickflip. This piece was an opportunity for me to work with a company I admire and explore what I believe it means to "Live off the wall".

Carmex, the national lip balm brand, partnered with students at MIAD and tasked them to illustrate to the prompt "real comfort brings out the real you". Five winners were chosen, and were featured on Carmex's website and YouTube channel. This was a fun project to sit down and interview the students and see their passion come to life.

motion graphics
As a formally trained Graphic Designer, I’ve always loved exploring how typography can be used to tell a story. Professionally, I’ve begun to push myself to implement more striking graphics to compliment the video work I produce. I love that I can blend my passion for video and my adoration for typography into one fascinating moving subject!

REDgen is a non-profit organization focused on educating youngsters on mental health. This animated series explores essential topics like resilience, stress, and well-being. This was one of the most challenging, yet rewarding projects I've ever completed, and I love how it turned out!

Frame by frame animation was my first introduction into animation and still remains one of my favorite styles to work with to this day. Though, these days working in Procreate does speed things up considerably! :)

design
I am formally trained in Graphic Design and started my design career as a Production Designer where I got to design packaging and other collateral. While I now work as a Video Producer, my love for design has not wavered! I have a successful freelance career and the work for my clients ranges from full branding suites, logotypes, print, packaging, and more.

A few years back I had the opportunity to create a logo for a photographer based in Northwest Arkansas. Her business has grown since then and not only did her logo need a refresher, but she was now in need of a full brand identity. The final product captures the heart and soul of her business and her identity as a wedding photographer.

I started my design career as a Production Designer for COAST Products, where my main responsibility was designing packaging for flashlights, headlamps, and knives. I found this a unique challenge due to the ever-evolving shape and size of those products. I've delved into other packaging designs and really enjoy the challenge of working within the constraints of unique shapes!

While I love working within the ~digital stratosphere~ there is still no replacement for seeing a complete work in the flesh! Whether that's a poster, print ad, product catalog, or more, holding a finished design in my hand is always so satisfying.

illustration
Ever since I learned enough hand-eye coordination to hold a crayon as a child you’ve had to pry that crayon from my clutches to get me to stop! I love to draw, almost more than anything else! I do it in my daily life, professionally, and really, whenever the inspiration strikes. I use Procreate to digitally draw on my iPad Pro, and have sketchbooks stashed in every nook and cranny of my apartment.
typography
Hand-rendering typography is a design exercise that I absolutely adore the challenge of! I am a huge fan of typographic illustration, and find the unique way type can tell a story… honestly thrilling. Hand-rendered type is also a great way to blend my love of design with my passion for illustration.
